Education & Equity: The Pathway to Proficiency

The Equity and Inclusion institute is a learning opportunity that seeks to inform, help, and strengthen pedagogical practices for educators. This institute serves as one of the ways Harris County Schools can addresses cultural competence, culturally responsive teaching, rigor, differentiation, building relationships and closing opportunity gaps.  Instructional equity is not merely in addition to teaching, leadership, or behavior. It is an essential component that embodies the quintessential aspects of best practices and will outlast initiatives and programs that arrive of and depart throughout the years.
